Missing You
On the garden swing he'd sit,
Or for hours he'd sit in the sand pit,
But now he's gone, he was stolen away,
I hope no day is like today.
In the mornings I would wake,
Just thinking, wishing this was fake,
I switch on the T.V, listening to other people's views,
The phone rings, I'm hoping it's good news.
Up in the woods, they found him,
In a ditch, when the light was dim,
At the funeral, his small frail body lying in a casket,
I keep imaging him in his basket.
Everyone's left, but I'm still here not believing your gone,
Reading over the epitaph, 'Here lies Benjamin Walker'.
Live forever in our hearts, even though your life's over and done.'
I walk silently home in the rain,
My heart is heavy, I'm full of pain,
I hear your voice everywhere,
You know I'll always care.
